School Report on Tagore Mahotsav: KendriyaVidyalayaFortwilliam, Kolkata Region
We are fortunate enough that we got the opportunity to participate in the KVS Initiative on 150th Birth Celebration of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. Our students have participated in all the four groups under the guidance of honourable Mr S M Saleem, Assistant Commissioner, Kolkata(Ofg), Ms. Chandana Mandal, Education Officer and our esteemed Principal Mrs. K R Chugh , K V Fortwilliam.
This was a true experience for all of us to share and experience the work of Gurudev and feel close to him. The best experience was that the students who have only heard of Gurudev could now read his work and translate it in their own words. This platform helped them to learn about this great novelist, write about him, and review his books.
