Tagore Mahotsav on Think Quest Celebrations in Bhopal Region

Students of Bhopal region enjoyed the festival of writing essay on India’s Great Educator and Man of Renascence   Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. They were encouraged to read about various aspects of Gurudev’s life and writing in this special literary carnival .This multi-racial, multi-lingual and multi-cultural endeavor was a real time success as teachers and students from different age groups, subjects and categories participated with equal enthusiasm. They drew inspiration and expressed their original work.

Where the mind is led forward

 by thee into ever-widening

      thought and action–

 into that heaven of freedom,

   my Father,

Let my country awake.

Tagore’s vision for international education comes true through this program.

We will do it!

These words were reverberating in our Bhopal Region whenever I contacted Principals, teacher administrators and student of all schools of Bhopal region. Our Continuous Comprehensive Efforts made this a grand success. Finally we all did it.  Such intellectually stimulating programs should be organized frequently. This helped me to build a strong team of high tech educators. My heartfelt thanks to regional leaders Ms. H.K. Sanhotra A.C.  and Dr. S.N. Sharma E.O.  for their support .

Regional Evaluation : A Report

The 150^th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated enthusiastically on ThinkQuest as nearly 49 Kendriya Vidyalayas of Bhopal Region participated whole heartedly in various competitions.

The responsibility of evaluation of the entries in Essay writing competition in English and Hindi was bestowed on Kendriya Vidyalaya No-2 Bhopal by the Hon’ble Assistant Commissioner KVS,RO Bhopal.

The evaluation work was carried out in the Vidyalaya under the able guidance and strict supervision of Dr.S.N. Sharma Education Officer KVS,RO Bhopal. The judges Shri.Mohd. Tanveer, PGT English and Dr.V.K. Singh, PGT Hindi were assisted by the Chief Evaluator Mrs.Preeti Saxena ,Principal KV No-2,Bhopal and regional Co-ordinator Miss.Sarita Tejwani from KV Ratlam.

The evaluation work was as per the instructions and guidelines in a smooth and fair manner. It was heartening to note that Students from all KVs had put in a lot of effort by researching in detail and expressing there original and creative style.

ThinkQuest celebration was a successful attempt to provide a platform for the creative impulses of young students and such activities should be organized in future too.
